INDIGENOUS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SERVICES (IBDS)

 

The IBDS is an initiative dedicated to supporting new and existing Indigenous entrepreneurs and businesses/organizations in British Columbia. The IBDS provides early-stage entrepreneurial and business training and other business supports through various programs. The Indigenous Business Development Services Program is funded by Western Economic Diversification Canada. The program provides financial assistance to eligible applicants who want to provide training for small business and entrepreneurs in their community. 

To be eligible for the Indigenous Business Development Services program your Organization must:

  • Indigenous-led non-profits and organizations which may include but not limited to First Nations as represented by their Chief and Council, Tribal Councils, Indigenous Representatives Organizations, and Metis organizations and Settlements as well as First Nation/Metis Settlement wholly-owned businesses where all profits accrue solely to the First Nation/Settlement to benefit community members; and Community Futures offices.
