Annual Snow: 300 cm (118 in) The Murray Ridge Ski Area is a community run "not-for-profit" ski resort, specializing in an affordable local and regional family ski experience. We are located just outside Fort St James in central British Columbia just over an hour and a half North West of Prince George. Coming from Prince George, drive west on Hwy 16 to Vanderhoof. Go through town continuing west until you reach the intersection of Hwy 27. Turn right and drive another 1/2 hour or so till Fort St James. Murray Ridge Ski Area will be that big mountain behind town with all the runs, you really can't miss it. Murray Ridge features 30 km of major alpine runs geared to provide an experience for all levels of skier or boarder. There is 600 sq. foot day lodge at the base of the mountain complete with cafeteria, rental shop, and lounge. In addition, we have 20 km of groomed and track set cross country trails adjacent to the ski area complete with a 3.7 km lighted loop and warm up building. The Ridge has a full selection of skis and boards available for rent. If you also require lessons, we have Snowboard and Ski Instructors on staff. Our friendly ski pros at the Ski and Snowboard School offer daily programs to ensure that you will enjoy our slopes at the most reasonable price. The program offers safe training for adults and special programs geared towards children. The Ridge has a full selection of Ski and Snowboard equipment available for rent. << Less |

We operate a large ranch specializing in purebred Black Angus cattle and Paint horses. Half of our sales are the result of selling breeding bulls and replacement heifers. The other half of our business is the result of beef sales. Our natural Black Angus beef is guaranteed free of hormones, steroids, and antibiotics. Our beef is grain finished and processed at between 12-15 months of age. All of our processing is done locally at either Country Locker in Vanderhoof or Kawano Farms in Prince George - the only two provincially inspected meat, processing plants. Besides selling sides, we also sell our products locally at the Fort St James farmer's market, the Petro Canada store and the Fas Gas store in Fort St James. Until 2006, our focus was primarily to provide fertilizer and seed for crops. During the summer of 2006, we undertook a project to build new facilities and relocated to our current location at 1055 Highway 16 West in Vanderhoof and along with the purchased Central Interior Farm and Ranch in April 2006. Glen Dale Agra has expanded our services and products and offers more to satisfy our customer requirements. Our new fertilizer blending facilities have a major increase in storage volume, upgraded blending capacities along with an overhead bin load out system that increases our blended fertilizer shipping capacity. In addition to full crop services, we provide feed, vet supplies, fencing, farm supplies, pet food and supplies, livestock equipment and much more to our customers. In 2007, we also added to our increasing line of products by building an "Agrichemical Warehousing Standard Association" accredited chemical warehouse. The average side of beef will weigh between 320 and 350 lbs with 1/4's coming in at 160-175 lbs. Our beef is sold frozen as a half quarter, 25 lb Beef Boxes, 25 lb BBQ Boxes, 50 lb Extra Lean Hamburger Boxes and a 50 lb Family Pack. We also feature an on-line build your own order option including sausage, jerky, and specialty cuts. All of our meat is processed to customer specification at a provincially inspected meat abattoir. Our family owned multi-generation farm is located just outside of Vanderhoof, BC Canada. We deliver along a regular route, which includes to Prince George and then down to Abbotsford and Chilliwack via Highway #1. We have a nice little reefer trailer we can pull behind our pickup so your purchased product will remain completely frozen for the entire trip. We offer Grass Hay, Alfalfa Hay or a Grass-Alfalfa mix in small-square (65 – 70 lb bales) and medium-square hay bales (850 - 1000 lbs).
