One Stop Business Registraton
The British Columbia government has partnered with federal and municipal governments to cut red tape and make it easier to start a business in British Columbia.
This service can be used for:
- Sole Proprietorships
- Corporations
- Incorporated Societies
- Partnerships
- Co-operatives
- Associations
You can:
- Instantly reigster your business with the BC Corporate Registry (Note: you need pre-approval of your business name. Forms for this can be obtained from Community Futures or the Government Agent)
- Register as a vendor for PST with the BC Consumer Taxation Branch
- Register as an employer with WCB
- Apply for personal optional protection with WCB
- Apply for a business number account with Canada Customs and Revenue Agency for GST, payroll deductions, corporate income tax and import/export accounts.
